8/23 Janet Westall's birthday. Had first day of real hitting in football practice. We had 3 practices today. We played Bull in the Ring for the last time as seniors in the afternoon.
Side note: Any of you guys remember that last session of Bull in the Ring?
8/24 Clark Inniger's and Dan Shafer's birthdays. Went with the team up to breakfast at Findlay High School with Bill Glass. Had a short practice in the morning after the breakfast and then an easy practice in the afternoon.
8/25 Cool practice in morning and rough hot practice in the afternoon. Went to look for some new football shoes.
8/26 Had football pictures taken all morning. Ended up getting Puma shoes. Saw 2 football films in the afternoon while it rained. Then practiced in the wet slop.
8/27 Had pad practice in the morning mist. Shorts and t-shirts practice in the afternoon. Had our first triple trio practice at Jeanne Sexton's house.
Side note: Without looking, who remembers all 9 girls in the triple trio?
8/28 Scrimmaged at Colonel-Crawford. Won by about 6 TDs to 0. Swam in the pool after the scrimmage.

I remember Bill Glass speech. Dan's birthday was the 24th not the 23rd.
