Week of October 11

10/11 Cold and windy. We had a long Fball practice and movie. Had an Honor Society officer's meeting at Mrs. Collingwood's home.

10/12 Took 3 periods to work one physics problem. Had a hard Fball practice but the weather was nice.

10/13 Had to memorize an old English poem. Went to get my haircut. Mike Dukes was there at the same time. The Pirates won the 4th World Series game 4-3. Series is tied at 2-2.

10/14 Pirates won the 5th Series game 4-0. They lead 3-2. Had a difficult English test and dress rehearsal for tomorrow night's game.

10/15 This was a big football day. Everyone wore green and gold. No one talked for the whole afternoon. At the pep session we buried the 7-0 score from last year's Arlington game when we lost. The game was tough. At Arlington their whole team shook hands BEFORE the game. Then we beat them 14-0. I scored one touchdown. Every play seemed extra hard. Arlington started doing calisthenics during time-outs. Of course we started doing them back at them even harder until the coaches stopped us.



10/16 Quiet Saturday after the big win last night. Baltimore won in 10 innings 3-2 to tie the series at 3-3.

10/17 Pittsburgh won the world series by beating Baltimore 2-1. Went to Fense's and played ping pong.
